About Lancaster Hospital

Lancaster Hospital offers a wide range of private medical services to patients in Lancaster and the surrounding areas.

Their outpatient consulting suite has six consulting rooms and operates a flexible appointment system to accommodate the needs of our patients and consultants. They also have two treatment rooms, used for minor operative procedures, wound care and nurse led clinics. The hospital has one operating theatre equipped with a laminar flow system, a minor operating unit and an endoscopy suite. These facilities combined with the latest in technology and on-site support services such as physiotherapy and an on-site pharmacy, enable their consultants to undertake a wide range of procedures from routine investigations to complex surgery. Today, over 70 consultants choose to practice from the hospital and are renowned for their experience, attracting patients worldwide.

Lancaster Hospital has 25 beds, with all rooms offering the privacy and comfort of en-suite facilities, free wifi and satelite TV. They also have a resident medical officer (RMO) who is available 24 hours a day to ensure that patients are safe and cared for at all times. Should your care needs change following surgery or treatment, the decision may be made to transfer you to another hospital. This will either be to an NHS or another Circle Health Group hospital. Transfers of care only take place when absolutely necessary.

Ways to pay

Lancaster Hospital welcomes both patients with private medical insurance and those who choose to self-fund their treatment.

Self paying patients

At Lancaster Hospital, they offer flexible payment plans that can help you to spread the cost of your private treatment. If you don't want to pay all at once, you can split the price into more manageable monthly instalments. They do this via loans, which they offer in partnership with Chrysalis Finance. You can spread the cost of treatment across a period to suit you, from 10 months to five years, with interest-free credit for the first 10 months.

Insured patients

If you have private medical insurance, rest assured that Lancaster Hospital collaborates with all major private medical insurers. Be sure to contact your insurer for pre-authorisation before scheduling an appointment.
