About Joshua Adedokun
Dr Joshua Adedokun was appointed as a Consultant in Anaesthetics and Pain Medicine at the Pennine Acute NHS Trust (North Manchester General Hospital) in May 2007.
Mr Adedokun's NHS practice is based at the North Manchester General Hospital Pain Management Unit, which is a dynamic, progressive and multi-disciplinary unit. His private consulting rooms are at the Spire Manchester Hospital, BMI The Beaumont Hospital in Bolton and BMI The Beardwood Hospital in Blackburn where he offers treatment for a wide range of chronic pain conditions.
Chronic pain management
Dr Adedokun has extensive experience in a wide range of chronic pain conditions such as sciatica, whiplash, complex regional pain syndrome, cancer pain, facial pain, neuralgia, abdominal and pelvic pain syndromes, complex headaches, fibromyalgia and repetitive strain injuries.

Dr Adedokun offers expert management of a wide range of chronic pain conditions using the latest technology and techniques, including:

Clinical interests
Dr Adedokun's varied interests include management of neuropathic pain especially complex regional pain syndrome, post-surgical neuropathic pain, trigeminal neuralgia, chronic abdominal pain syndromes, fibromyalgia and other musculoskeletal pain syndromes. He also has an special interest and expertise radiofrequency techniques for spinal and non-spinal pains.
Medicolegal training and experience
Dr Adedokun has attended a number of recognised medico-legal training courses including the Specialist info Standard Medico-legal Course, the Bond Solon Excellence in Report Writing and the Bond Solon Courtroom Skills course. He is listed on the UK Register of Expert Witnesses, is an APIL expert, a Member of the Society of Expert Witnesses and a Member of the Expert Witness Institute.
With extensive clinical experience in the management of various chronic pain syndromes including persistent back and neck pain, especially following personal or occupational injuries, Mr Adedokun accepts instructions from claimants, defendents and as a single joint expert.

Renacres Hospital, (Ramsay Health Care), Renacres Lane, Halsall, Ormskirk, Lancashire L39 8SE - Alternate Tuesday or Thursdays
Theatre lists for private patient treatment are arranged according to the needs. Usually these are monthly at The Alexandra, Cheadle, The Beaumont, Bolton and The Beardwood, Blackburn, though can be more frequent. Renacres are similar.
Research interests
Dr Adedokun is actively involved in training both specialists in advanced pain management techniques and trainees and GPs in managing chronic pain. He is a Member of the Editorial Board for the Journal of Observational Pain Medicine.
