Training and experience

Dr Jaber Gasem is a highly experienced Consultant Physician and Gastroenterologist. He attended Tripoli University in Libya from 1983 to 1990, graduating in medicine (MBChB) in 1990.

Dr Gasem completed the UK General Medical Council Professional and Linguistics Assessment Board (PLAB) test in December 1992 and became a Member of the Royal College of Physicians (UK) in November 1995. He was awarded the Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in General Internal Medicine/Gastroenterology in November 2006. His NHS practice is based at Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor.

Clinical interests

Dr Gasem is a Consultant Gastroenterologist and screening colonoscopist with a special interest in Therapeutic endoscopy and Endoscopic retrograde cholangio pancreatography (ERCP), an endoscopic procedure to diagnose and treat problems with the biliary system, including gallstones.
