Mr Sohraab Yadav is a Consultant Ophthalmologist at Newmedica, one of the UK’s leading providers of specialist eyecare.
He specialises in minimally-invasive cataract surgery, oculoplastic surgery and lacrimal surgery and is also the director of emergency eyecare services for Shropshire. Mr Yadav’s ophthalmology training in the North West of England included advanced oculoplastics training and high-volume cataract surgery. He also completed a training fellowship in oculoplastic, lacrimal and orbital surgery at Manchester Royal Eye Hospital. He has published numerous articles in respected journals on a range of ophthalmology topics and his work has been presented at international conferences. He is an invited reviewer for a number of journals, including the British Journal of Ophthalmology. He is actively involved in training students, doctors, nurses and allied professionals and, as a member of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists’ surgical skills faculty, has trained ophthalmologists to perform cataract and oculoplastic surgery. He is a member of several professional groups, including the Shropshire Skin MDT and British Oculoplastic Surgery Society.
