Mr Tarek Hammam is a Consultant Ophthalmologist at Newmedica, one of the UK’s leading providers of specialist eyecare.
He specialises in retinal surgeries, including vitrectomy and cataract surgery. Mr Hammam qualified in medicine from Alexandria University in Egypt and, after initial training in Egypt, undertook his specialist ophthalmology training at the West of Scotland deanery. He completed subspecialty training in surgical retina at the Tennent Institute of Ophthalmology in Glasgow and worked for two years as a consultant ophthalmologist at Southampton University Hospital.
