The treatment I received was very good. Right from the first consultation to the post operative consultation. The whole procedure from first consultation to the day I had my operation was approximately 10 days. I was actually in shock, when everything happened so quickly. No time for nerves, everything was done and dusted in no time. Went home the same day and I received a nice phone call the following day to ask how I was, brilliant.

I had had trouble with my gallstones for 18 years and preferred to ignore them once my pain was over. Thankfully I did go for the op

because I was told if I had left things another year or two, there was a chance I could have been under observation for cancer. I am so grateful to everyone for their care and especially my consultant Mr Sellahewa. My recovery was excellent and I went back to work

after 2 weeks.

I attended West Midlands Hospital for a one night overnight admission for a privately funded cosmedic procedure. Being an NHS worker myself I cannot rate the level of care I received high enough. The staff genuinely care and can’t do enough for you. I was quite nervous when I went down to theatre but the staff were fantastic, big thanks to Joe for being so lovely and taking my mind off what was happening! Also a huge thanks to Tracey who took care of me throughout the night and Rachel for the daytime. I would go back to this hospital in a heartbeat. The catering staff were equally as kind and caring too. Thanks so much to you all that I came into contact with on the 5th and 6th June 2018 :-)

I would like to say the biggest thank you from the bottom of my heart for the care I received from start to finish at The West Midlands Hospital when I was admitted for my Rhinoplasty yesterday, it was absolutely second to none service and I wouldn’t hesitate for one second when recommending you to other patients.

The nurses, theatre staff, kitchen staff, aneasthetist and of course the amazing Dr Hassan at Elite Surgical made a daunting surgery day such a breeze and I honestly cannot be more grateful. You really couldn’t have done enough for me!

Following word of mouth reccomendation I had revision breast surgery with Mr.Mehboob Ali. I cannot put into words how incredible this man is. He listens to your concerns and does not rush your consultation. He is a perfectionist and ensures that you are happy with your result. It is very clear that patient satisfaction is extremely important to him.



My procedure was not straight forward due to previous surgeries/complications. I couldn't reccomend Mr. Mehboob Ali enough to deal with complex revison surgery. I am finally happy with my breasts. I know other people who have had both straight forward and revison surgery with him. All very happy too.



All the the nursing team and colleagues of Mr.Mehboob who I came into contact with could not sing his praises enough. He is clearly well thought of by both his colleagues and his patients.



I'd also like to thank all of the hospital staff at West Midlands hospital. Great standard of care from start to finish. Keep up the good work all!

I have just recently had breast implant surgery by Mr Mehboob Ali who is fantastic he put me so at ease from start to finish it is the second time of having this procedure done as I had a slight complication with the first ones but I was put at ease and put right straight away and I'm very pleased with the result. The care they give is fantastic and can't do enough for you while you stay and recover the nurses are constantly there to help and nothing is too much trouble the lady who books the meals was so lovely and could do enough for you... also when you go back for your check up after procedure the lady is so nice and answers any questions and again puts you at ease as some things your not sure are normal or need help in what todo ...I would just like to say thank you to all the team and keep up the good work.

There have been noticeable changes at this hospital since the doors were opened to NHS patients and colleagues of mine have agreed with this finding. Car parking spaces are limited, reception staff are not so helpful or courteous. Waiting lists have increased and there is room for error with administration which is equally frustrating.

There used to be a time when you were greeted with a drink and made to feel at ease at comfortable. I would even go so far to say that the hospital stay was more like a hotel. This is not my preferred location any longer even though it is nearer to home. As a private patient, I really expect more for my money, especially when you are paying for private health care.

I was asked to offer this review formally, hence the reason for doing so.

I was not at all impressed by this service, after having looked up the closest yellow fever centre online I called West Midlands Hospital to find out the cost as these vary from £50-100. I was told that it would cost me £55 and proceeded to book an appointment as this was the cheapest I had found.

When I got to my appointment I had to wait 30 minutes which I would normally be ok with. However when I went to get my injection I was told, also there is a £20 admin fee which they had failed to mention beforehand. When I had my injection I was asked to pay, I did not have enough cash having been lied to previously about the total and then told that I could not pay by card, which I was also not told before hand and had to drive for 5 minutes to go and withdraw money.

Basically terrible customer service, lied to about the price, kept waiting for a long time and not told important information.

An excellent hospital full of thought and consideration by staff for all of my needs on the day I was admitted, from start to finish there was always a very caring and professional attitude by any member of hospital staff that I met (and there were many). My consultant Mr. Molony was fantastic and kept me informed throughout the day - my operation aftercare was also to very high standards and I very much appreciated the time and effort that was given.
