Based on Harley Street in London, Laser Medicine is an independent therapeutic laser clinic offering Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT)/Photobiomodulation Therapy (PBM) for a wide range of health concerns including fertility and reproductive health, hypothyroidism, musculoskeletal conditions, pain, neurodegenerative conditions and skin ageing
Laser Medicine are experts in the application of Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT), which is known medically as Photobiomodulation Therapy (PBMT) and more commonly as Red Light Therapy (RLT) or Cold Laser.
LLLT/PBM is a non-thermal laser which does not create heat within the tissue, but rather has an anti-inflammatory effect making it useful for resolving inflammation, pain, injury recovery, wound healing, nerve repair, musculoskeletal conditions and sports injuries.
Research and clinical trials have demonstrated that LLLT increases the natural production of blood capillaries, ATP and collagen, increasing mitochondrial energy at a cellular level by around 150%. This results in a wide range of applications including neurodegenerative disease such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s, infertility caused by unspecified age-related conditions, hypothyroid caused by autoimmune conditions, tissue regeneration and skin rejuvenation.
Laser Medicine combine the use of LLLT with principles of traditional acupuncture to provide safe, organic and efficient healing with no adverse side-effects. They are pioneers in Red Light Therapy for Fertility as a complementary treatment for infertility and lead UK and European research into the use of Laser Therapy for hypothyroidism and Hashimoto’s Disease. Over the years, they have also developed protocols to assist digestion, enlarged prostate (BPH), migraines, allergies and nerve repair. Clinical studies also support the use of LLLT for smoking cessation and addiction withdrawal, as well as in the treatment of anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
All therapeutic lasers used at Laser Medicine are approved by NICE in the UK and the FDA in the USA.
