Foot expert Gary makes move from Chelsea to Lincoln

He has spent the last five years looking after some of the world’s most expensive feet at Chelsea FC – but Podiatric Surgeon Gary Boon has now signed up to be part of the team at BMI The Lincoln Hospital.

Having previously worked at Sheffield Wednesday, Sheffield United as well as Manchester City, Gary moved to Chelsea to keep a check on the feet of some of the world’s finest footballers in 2006.

England stars such as Frank Lampard and Ashley Cole as well as multi-million pound imports such as Didier Drogba and Michael Essien have all bared their feet to be examined by Gary.  He even travelled with the club to Chelsea’s European Champions final in Moscow in 2008.

Now Gary has joined BMI The Lincoln Hospital in Nettleham Road, Lincoln and is delighted with his new move.

“The Lincoln has superb facilities and I am looking forward to a long a successful association with the hospital,” said 50-year-old Gary.

“It is amazing how many people are suffering pain on a daily basis because of a foot problem such as bunions or hammer toes, when a relatively simple operation could really improve their quality of life,” he added.
