Training and experience

Dr David Eccleston graduated from the University of Birmingham's Medical School in 1987 and undertook training in dermatology, ENT, ophthalmology, obstetrics and gynaecology before entering General Practice. He spent over 25 years in NHS practice, growing his small reputable surgery into a large practice where he was Senior Partner. He moved into private practice in 2014, co-founding The Oakley Partnership Private Medical Practice.

Dr Eccleston is also a recognised authority on non-surgical medical aesthetics and is the Clinical Director of MediZen, Birmingham's leading cosmetic dermatology clinic. He is a Member of the British College of Aesthetic Medicine (BCAM) and runs an advanced cosmetic training centre at his clinic, as well as regularly presenting at conferences worldwide.

Dr Eccelston has been published in clinical studies, national press and high-end magazines and has featured in television and radio interviews about non-surgical medical procedures and various aspects of General Practice.

The Oakley Medical Practice

The Oakley Medical Practice is a private GP and medical practice based in Sutton Coldfield, in the heart of the Midlands. Staffed by a friendly team of professional practitioners, the practice aims to provide continuity and complete confidentiality alongside excellent standards of healthcare. Patients do not need to leave their NHS practitioner and can choose any services independently of any NHS provision and investigage options that may currently not be available at their own GP surgery.

Patient care is paramount at The Oakley Medical Practice. Appointments are usually available within 24-48 hours, and often the same day. Face-to-face consultations are unhurried giving time for any concerns to be fully addressed and the necessary diagnosis, treatment, test or referral can be made without delay.
