He performed a Laproscopy surgery to treat my hernia and, just as he promised, I was able to return to my normal activities within a very short space of time. I would highly recommend Professor Lloyd and his team for their care and dedication to their patients.

I was very wise to choose The Spire, and Professor David Lloyd,I held back for quite a long time, rather because I was nervous about what surgery would involve, having been for a very long time without much pain, and capable to carry on with the usual reckoning that the hernia, simply pressed into place, would in some way be a mild nuisance. My wife persuaded me to have an operation, and I capitulated. I cannot be more pleased with this rare capitulation! Professor David Lloyd was very encouraging as a result of the initial consultation, and the operation itself went unbelievably smoothly. He is clearly a very skilled surgeon, and made my short time a very worthy decision. Professor Lloyd's engaging and professional approach to the whole procedure was exemplary. I am enormously grateful to him.

Professor Lloyd is a star. I had an open hernia repair last year which went wrong. Professor Lloyd re-did the hernia repair with key hole surgery and I feel great. The open operation was terribly painful ad I would not recommend it. I would like to thank Prof Lloyd for his kindness and surgical skills.

Two weeks ago I had a cholecystectomy at the Spire Hospital in Leicester. Prof. Lloyd was my consultant for the procedure. He was extremely professional, kind, competent and reassuring, and I felt safe in his care. My operation went very well and I had very little pain post operatively. I have no pain at all now. My scars are miniscule and the bruising has gone. I have had pain and discomfort for a long time pre-operation, and now I realise I had not been very well for month, maybe more than a year. Now my gall bladder is removed I feel so well, and euphoric it has been resolved so well, so quickly, and with relatively little pain. I can highly recommend Prof Lloyd for giving the care and attention that everyone would like when unwell. I do not believe anyone could do better.

I write to say a massive thank you. Not only from myself for all the hard work and determination you have given to me to get me better; but also from my husband and children for giving them their wife/mummy back. The last 3 years of my life have been very difficult. I wasn't even aware I had cysts until the day I collapsed. Having been born with the complications that I had I was used to having issues. I just thought I'd put on a lot of weight and this was why I'd been in a lot of pain. You worked tirelessly to seek solutions and find a way to help me. Sometimes things worked for a short time and then something else crept up. Still you researched and came up with alternative options. On 28th September 2016 you performed the operation to remove the pump and redirect the pipe from my lower abdomen. Thankfully this appears to be working. I'm no longer retaining fluid for long periods of time. Yes I still get a build up if I've over exerted myself but after resting, this now drains away. This has been a difficult and tedious journey, for me; and I'm sure at times its been frustrating for you too. Thank you for sticking with me. In the nicest possible way, I hope we don't have to cross paths again. But if we do, I know I'll be in the safest hands. Thank you once again.

From the first appointment, through the operation and the after operation appointment, I cannot fault Professor Lloyd. He inspires confidence and puts you at ease. He explained everything clearly and concisely to me and took time to answer any questions I had and nothing was too much trouble. After many years of pain and specialists not knowing what my problem was or how to fix it, Prof Lloyd knew immediately what was causing the pain and has fixed it, something I thought would never happen.
