LASIK laser eye surgery with Dr C T Pillai at AVC – Marcus Jones

Electrician Marcus Jones, talks about his LASIK laser eye surgery performed by Dr C T Pillai at Advanced Vision Care (AVC) in Harley Street.

"When my optician approached me about sight correction I was like a lot of people with the opinion that it is a bit scary having someone do something to your eyes. I have a + prescription which means thick magnifying lenses.

I also have to carry another pair of glasses all the time for close up work, book reading etc.

At the end I met Mr Pillai, who is the hands on director (just google him) I have type 1 diabetes which I have had the condition for 22 years. Mr Pillai spotted a small problem with one of my eyes which had to have further tests done.

I got the all clear to have Lasik Laser surgery which I had two weeks later.

The procedure was more exciting than the feeling of nerves.

Mr Pillai and his team carried out the procedure and I was on my way home within two hours. I had an appointment the next day, one week later and six weeks later which I am due to go to later this week.
