Ms Natasha Spiteri is a Consultant Ophthalmologist and Clinical Partner at Newmedica, one of the UK’s leading providers of specialist eyecare.
Her areas of interest are cataract surgery, refractive lens surgery, corneal and anterior segment disease, corneal transplant surgery and general ophthalmology. Ms Spiteri graduated in medicine in Malta and undertook her specialist ophthalmology training in the UK. She then completed a fellowship in corneal disease and surgery in Sydney, Australia, before taking up her consultant post at the Countess of Chester Hospital in 2017, where she has been responsible for developing the cornea service. In 2017-2018 she completed a postgraduate diploma in cataract and refractive surgery with the University of Ulster. Actively involved in education and training, she is currently College Tutor at the Countess of Chester Hospital, responsible for the coordination and delivery of training of young ophthalmologists. She also trains on cataract and microsurgical skills courses at the Royal College of Ophthalmologists.
