Training and experience

Mr Dan Morell graduated in medicine from the University of Leeds in 2005. He undertook his basic surgical training in hospitals around West Yorkshire, going on to join the South Yorkshire Orthopaedic rotation in 2011. After completing his Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) in 2015, he was accepted onto the prestigious Advanced Training Post Fellowship at the Pulvertaft Hand Centre in Derby. He then further developed his skills in microsurgery at Ganga Microsurgical Unit in India before taking up his post as a Consultant Hand and Wrist Surgeon at Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Committed to providing exemplary care for his patients, Mr Morell strives to stay abreast of the latest evidenced based practice. Where possible, he performs many of the procedures normally performed under general anaesthetic under local anaesthetic, and he works at the forefront of the latest developments in hand and wrist surgery for the benefit of his patients.  He performs all procedures as day case to minimise recovery times.

Mr Morell specialises in all aspects of hand and wrist surgery including wrist arthroscopy and small joint replacement. No detail is overlooked in his work, and patients can be assured that they will receive comprehensive care, from the first consultation to the final stitch.
