Naren Basu: Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon in Birmingham
Mr Naren Basu is Lead Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon at The Harborne Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare UK, in Birmingham. His extensive training includes placements at internationally renowned institutes, including Harvard Medical School and Institut Curie in Paris, the award of The National Oncoplastic Fellowship in 2013 and a doctorate of medicine from the University of Manchester for his research on contralateral breast cancer in women. Specialising in breast care, breast cancer surgery and breast-related issues, Mr Basu applies oncoplastic surgery skills to preserve aesthetic outcomes while effectively treating disease. He has published widely in the field of risk-reducing surgery in high-risk patients and trains plastic and breast surgeons across the world. He is an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Birmingham.
