Services
Ailis’s main areas of interest are:
- Anxiety
- Stress
- Executive stress
- Relationship mediation
- Work mediation
- Retirement transition
- Life changes
- Infidelity
- Anger management
- Executive coaching
Anxiety
Anxiety can manifest itself in a variety of ways, including sleeplessness, panic attacks, work performance stress and imposter syndrome. Ailis uses a combination of occupational psychology, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and coaching to help reframe such anxieties into manageable challenges.
Infidelity
Ailis offers individual sessions to help people who have experienced infidelity explore their situation in depth, understand their reaction to it and make clearer decisions about it. Several approaches to roadmap a new life together or apart may be used: cognitive and behavioural psychology, intergenerational work (which looks at patterns of behaviour learned as a child), integrative counselling and practical action plans for new behaviours.
Mediation
Ailis offers mediation with the aim of creating an amicable solution for both relationship and workplace disagreements. The process involves respecting and focusing on what worked in the relationship and then investigating what brought about the breakdown. Transactional Analysis and Integrative Counselling are used to help deal with the issues and bring union on the shared interests they reveal. The aim is to leave mediation with a peaceful agreement on how the shared life ahead is lived. One joint session is followed by seven individual ones, where the person’s concerns and interests are worked through. The agreement is concluded in a final joint session.
Life transitions
Ailis helps people who are undergoing or about to undergo a life transition, such as retirement or redundancy, develop a roadmap to a fulfilling and happy future. The process involves looking together at how the person lived in the past and why, and what they need to thrive now and in their life going forward. Tools used include MBTI (psychological preferences), FiroB (emotional needs) and humanistic counselling.
