Mr Palpandian Viswanathan is a Consultant Ophthalmologist at Newmedica, one of the UK’s leading providers of specialist eyecare.
A highly skilled and experienced surgeon, Mr Viswanathan specialises in cataract surgery and retinal surgery. He obtained his Masters degree in ophthalmic surgery in India and completed his specialist ophthalmology training in London, Belfast and Nottingham, gaining membership and fellowship of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists. He was appointed as a consultant in 2010 and, since 2017, has been a Consultant Ophthalmologist at Shrewsbury and Telford Hospitals NHS Trust, where he specialises in complex cataract surgery, including toric and multifocal lenses, and retinal surgery.
