A prosthodontist is a dental professional that specializes in the fitting, care and evaluation of the use of prosthodontic devices such as dentures, implants and crowns. He works in close collaboration with dentists and oral hygienists in the use of appropriate devices to promote a patient’s dental and oral health. He conducts private practice mostly but could also work in a hospital setting as well.
